PRIORITY
SENT DEPT 710, LONDON 153 EYES ONLY AMBASSADOR.
FOR PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY FROM HARRIMAN.
Iran Govt has decided postpone release to press of reply to
British proposals (re MITELS earlier today). Arrangements
made to resume negotiations tomorrow morning (Monday) between
Mosaded, Stokes and myself in lieu discussions with Iran
negotiating committee which has no authority. I understand
this has been brought about in part through influence of Shah.
