FROM HARRIMAN FOR PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY; NO DISTRIBUTION
EXCEPT AS DIRECTED BY SECRETARY'S OFFICE.
Supplementing my preceding telegram reporting my talk with
British Ministers, following this meeting Stokes and I had
(rpt had) private conversation with Attlee and discussed the
desirability of change in British Ambassador in Tehran and
replacement of Fraser as Chairman of AIOC (repeat AIOC).
While Attlee was noncommittal, I am hopeful these may be done.
