    "ocrText": "\"WATIONAL\nARCHIVES\nRECORDS\n-2-\nis\nSERVICE^\n(b) Seek to fecilitate the removal of barriers to economic,\nsocial and other friendly intercourse caused by the division of\nKorea;\n(c) Be available for observation and consultation in the\nfurther development of renresentative government besed on the\nfreely-expressed will of the neople;\n(a) Observe the actual withorawal of the occubying forces\nand verify the fact of withôrawal when such has occurred; and for\nthis purpore, if it 80 desires, request the assistance of military\nexperts of the two occupying Powers;\n5. Deciões that the Commission:\n(a) Shall, within thirty days of the adoption of the present\nresolution, proceed to Korea, where it shall maintain its seat;\n(b) Shall be regarded as having suberseded the Temporary\nCommission established by the resolution of 14 November 1947;\n(c) Is authorized to travel, consult and obgerve throughout\nKorea;\n(a) Shall determine its own procedures;\n(e) May consult with the Interim Committee with respect to\nthe discharge of ite duties in the light of developments, and\nwithin the terms of the present resolution;\n(I) Shall render a report to the next regular session of the\nGeneral Assembly and to any prior soecial session which might be\ncalled to consider the subject matter of the present resolution,\nand shall render such interim reports as it may deem appropriate\nto the Secretary-General for distribution to Members;\n6. Requests that the Secretsry-General shall provide the\nCommission with adequate staff and facilities, including technical\nadvisers as required; and authorizes the Secretery-General to\npay the expenses and per diem of a representative and an alternate\nfrom each of the States members of the Commission;\n7. Calls upon the Member States concerned, the Government\nof the Republic of Korea, and all Koreans to afford every assist-\nance and facility to the Commission in the fulfillment of its\nresponsibilities;\n8. Calls upon Member Ststes to refrain from any acts deroga-\ntory to the results schieved and to be achieved by the United\nNations in bringing about the complete independence and unity of\nKorea;\n/9. Recommends"
