I saw Parodi this morning, Schuman being in rump Cabinet
meeting. Parodi stated he was sure that French would be
eager to make such declaration and that he would immediately
advise Schuman who would discuss it with his colleagues
Parodi speaking personally repeated a sentiment which seems
to be universal in French responsible Government circles
that the action taken by the United States in regard to
Korea etc., was one of brilliant statesmanship.
