speak before the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The President has agreed to attend the dedication at
(Wednesday)
3:00 p.m. of the memorial in Arlington National Cemetery
to the late General Sir John Dill. (Details can be
ascertained from Mr. Robert Woods Bliss)
November 6th
- The Mayor of Independence has been advised in confidence
(Monday)
that the President hopes to accept the Mayor's invitation
to take part in the dedication ceremonies of a Liberty
Bell presented to the city of Independence by the people
of Annecy, France. (The dedication is on this day so it
is likely that the President will leave November 5th and
stay through Tuesday, November 7th, which is Election
Day)
November 19th
- The President and Mrs. Truman will attend the tea given
(Sunday)
by the Woman's National Democratic Club at 5 p.m., 1526
New Hampshire Avenue,
December 14th
- The President and Mrs. Truman will attend a dinner given
(Thursday)
by the Vice President and Mrs. Barkley. (The time and
place to be determined later.)
