MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRES IDENT
Subject: Voting Record of Israel at the Fourth
Regular Session of the General Assembly
I am sending you herewith a summary analysis of the voting
record of the Delegation of Israel at the Fourth Regular Session
of the General Assembly of the United Nations, September 20-
December 10, 1949. You will recall that in your conversation
with Mr. Webb on November 10 you expressed interest in receiving
a summary of the Israeli voting pattern after the adjournment
of the General Assembly.
The record indicates that Israel abstained from voting on
almost all the major political issues involving the conflict
between the Soviet Union and the free world.
