THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
August 20, 1951.
MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT:
The Division of Protocol advises
that the Prime Minister and Foreign
Minister of Italy, DeGasperri, will
be in Washington September 24th, 25th
and 26th. They would ask for a lunch-
eon at the Blair House, a business
appointment with the President, and
have suggested that the Italian horses
on Memorial Bridge be dedicated on
one of these three days rather than on
the original suggested date, October
12th, in view of the presence in this
country of the Prime Minister. They
would like to have the President's
reaction.
