MEMORANDUM FOR
THE PRESIDENT
The Tokyo broadcast will start at
9:30 P.M., our time, tonight. You will go on
the air immediately after the end of the Tokyo
broadcast of the surrender ceremony. We do not
know how long this will last, but guess it will
be from fifteen minutes to half an hour. This
would put you on the air at some time between
9:45 and 10:00 P.M.
The Armed Forces Radio Service Program
will begin at 9:00 P.M. tomorrow, Sunday night,
and will run for
