Dear Mrs. Mesta:
Thanks for your good letter of the twenty=seventh
which was on my desk this morning when I arrived.
I hope you will find it convenient to begin your leave
in July and continne it as long n.g. you are entitled to
it.
I made an announcement Saturday night which will
require all the efforts we can put forth to elect a
Democratic President and I want your help in this.
I hope everything is going well with you. 1 appreci-
ated most highly your letter and your good wishes to
Mrs. Truman and Margaret. Margaret is singing in
Victoria, British Columbia tonight and day after
tomorrow she will sing in Vancouver, British Columbia
- then she goes to Denver and Pueblo for a meeting.
Sincerely yours,
