12:45 September 13, 1945 REMARKS OF THE PRESIDENT TO THE FOUR PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTORS OF THE ARMED SERVICES: I have asked you gentlemen to come in here SO that I might tell you what a fine job I think you and your associates in the public relations departments of the armed services have done in keeping the public informed about our war effort. The results of your work speak for themselves. It is due in no small measure to you that the people have received a steady flow of dependable information about the war. You have contributed materially toward the vivid, accurate and comprehensive reporting of the war, by press and radio and through pictures, in all its many phases both at home and abroad. Your work has helped in vindicating our democratic processes, and I am sure that I express the feeling of the whole Nation when I say to you all, and through you to your associates, "Well done". !
