7906 December 31, 1952 Dear Jim: Thank you very much for your good letter of the twenty-third. I am glad to know where you are located and that everything is going well with you. From all I can hear, Norway is & great country and the people are extremely friendly to Americans. It was certainly thoughtful of you to write me as you did and I appreciate it. Margaret enjoyed her visit in Norway very much and told me that she had seen you. We missed you at the Staff Dinner the other night. I gave a State Dinner in the White House for all the members of my present staff and all who had ever been on it. I don't think there were more than two or three absentees and you were one of those. Sincerely yours, HARRY S. TRUMAN NATIONAL Rear Admiral James H. Foskett ARCHIVES AND RECORDS Embassy of the United States SERVICE" Military Assistance Advisory Group-Norway Oslo, Norway
