Palestine October 11, 1946 Dear Rabbi Wise: Thanks very much for your letter of the seventh. I am enclosing you copy of a letter which I have just sent to Senator Walter George of Georgia. It also is a confidential document. I appreciated the last paragraph in your letter and you can always rest assured that the President of the United States is not in the habit of making public, personal communications - that seems to be a habit of people with whom the President corresponds, however. Sincerely yours, "NATIONAL ARCHIVES AND EVERY HARRY S. TRUMAN RECORDS as SERVICE" Rabbi Stephen S. Wise Synagogue House 40 West 68 Street New York, New York
