    "ocrText": "The United States is striving to turn the United Nations into an\ninstrument of war. Under U.S. pressure, the United Nations made its flag\navailable to cover up American aggression in Korea, and then, in violation\nof the fundamental rights of nations it declared the Chinese People's\nRepublic to be an aggressor. Honest people throughout the world cannot\nfail to agree with the justice of Stalin's words that in essence the\nUnited Nations is not so much a world organization as an organization for\nthe Americans, acting for the convenience of the American aggressors.\nIn recent times the tempo of war preparations has increased in the\nimperialist camp. The United States is in all ways enlarging the aggres-\nsive Atlantic bloc. By means of pressure, threats, and various promises\nthey are trying to drag new countries into it, including those not con-\nnected geographically with the Atlantic zone. They are creating new war\nbases in all parts of the world. They are feverishly enlarging the pro-\nduction of all types of weapons and searching for cannon fodder in all\ncorners of the earth.\nThe slightest sign of anti-war feeling is being mercilessly suppressed\nespecially in the United States. Fascist police methods are being implanted\ninto all links of the State machine. Only pitiful ruins remain of the much\nvaunted American democracy. The American press itself is forced to admit\nit. Chester Dempsey, State Senator from Wisconsin, recently wrote in the\npaper CAPITAL TIMES: \"There was a time when we wondered at the servility\nof the Germans when they were under the influence of Hitler and Goebbels\npropaganda, and today we are ourselves in a worse position than the Germans\never were. We have complete thought control in our country and we are\nin the hands of the war machine and its slanderous clique.\"\nThe statesmen of the United States have let themselves go to such an\nextent that they have begun to use their police methods in the inter-\nnational arena. Hitler's political Geschaeftmacher could have envied the\nmethods of American diplomats headed by Truman at the San Francisco Con-\nference. (applause) The State machine in the United States is falling"
