APARTMENT 15-A " WADHINGTON SQUARE, wert NEW YORK CITY " THINK November 25, 1947 Dear Mr. President: I read your message to Congress and I want to tell you that I thought it very courageous and very good in every way. I am sure you have had many favorable comments. The old Greek Prime Minister came to see me and asked me to tell you how grateful they are for what has been done for Greece. They hope you will back some form of a miódle-or-the-road government and try to draw the two extremes together. I leave on Friday for the Human Rights Com- mission meeting in teneva, and I am sorry not to have had the opportunity or seeing you before I go. I hope I shall be able to get to Washington around the 12th of January, and that you will be free to see me. If I may, I shall ask for an appoint- ment when I know just when I will be in Washington. With my every good wish to you and Mrs. Truman and Margaret, I am, Very cordially yours, Thann Roosward
