I have been talking about how the Republican
Party, operating through the 80th Congress,
has hurt the country. Let me explain how it was done.
2.
The Congress which was elected in Nineteen
Forty-six - elected by only a third of the voters
-
had Two Hundred and Forty-five Republicans to
One Hundred and Eighty-eight Democrats in the House
and Fifty-one Republicans to Forty-five Democrats
in the Senate.
3.
This meant a lot of bhanges in the operation
of Congress.
