C. At 0001/04 (KT) CINCFE established the command, United States
Army Forces in Korea (USAFIK). Major General William F. Dean was
appointed Commanding General. At the same time the Pusan Base
Command, with Brigadier General Crump Garvin as Commanding General,
was established as a subordinate command of USAFIK® The CG, USAFIK,
assumes control of KMAG for the purpose of utilizing it. in the reorganiza-
tion and control of the Republic of Korea (ROK) forces. ADCOM (Advanced
Command and Liaison Group, General Headquarters, FECOM) is attached
to Headquarters, USAFIK, (FECOM)

d. At 2021/03 (KT) the British frigate BLACK SWAN was strafed by
2 fighter aircraft 30with single red star under left wing" This vessel was
last reported shelling trawlers off Chumunjin at 1800/02 (KT). No damage

e. U. S. Naval forces have been ordered to conduct a naval blockage
of Korea south of 41 N on the east coast and south of 39-30 N along the

Calif., will be sent to Japan..

g. No aerial combat was reported on 3 July KT. However, North Korean
Air Force fighters and fighter gar bombers strafed Suwon and Suwon airstrip
intermittently throughout the day. NKAF fighter-bombers are now making
raids in formations of four aircraft instead of in the usual two-aircraft
formations. Flak reported was nil to meager and inaccurate. A captured
NKAF pilot states that aircraft patrols are not maintained over North
Korean airfields, nor are the airfields protected by antiaircraft guns.

h. Enemy combat efficiency reportedly has been temporarily reduced
by USAF bombing and strafing attacks. On 3 July, B-26's bombed a railroad
overpass 7 miles southwest of Seoul, results are unknown. USAF fighters
and medium bombers destroyed 7 trucks, and damaged 6 trucks, 2 jeeps,
one locomotive with box car, and one bus. One C-47 dropped leaflets
over nine South Korean towns in an effort to bolster morale. The airlift
