Yes; however, PURCELL is busy and he'll call to tell him what time to come. 9:57am CORCORAN to Capitol to House Judiciary Committee for MISS MEDLEY (Phon.) who was not in. CORCORAN will call again. 10.10am CORCORAN to Senator PEPPER's office at Capitol, talked to MR. CLEMENS and asked him to call JOSH LEE at C.A.B. and ask him if he has ever reached HARRY WHITE about KIEHN. O.K. 10.20am WRIGHT to MRS. MEDLEY of House Judiciary Committee. She will have the transcript of the tide lands for him this P.M. and he'll drop over to look at it. 10:35am MISS ROBERTS in CROWLEY'S office to ANNETTA saying CROWLEY can see CORCORAN at 11 A.M. O.K., ANNETTA will tell him. 10:45am CORCORAN to MR. CLEMENTS in Senator PEPPER'S office. CLEMENTS said he got in touch "with the man and he said he would certainly get in touch with him during the day and I didn't say any more." O.K. 10:50am CORCORAN to MEtropolitan 0248 for MR. VELMORE (Phon.) who was out. Secretary said he might be in soon. CORCORAN is seeking BENNETT C. CLARK and the secretary said she didn't know where he is, but CORCORAN might try his St. Louis, Mo., office which is Central 5559. O.K. 10:55am "SHAGGY" QUINN to CORCORAN asking if he had heard about a pro- posed bill to investigate the State Department and subpoena records of State and allied agencies. CORCORAN said no; that he hadn't been where he would hear it, and asked if he meant in connection with these 6 guys. CORCORAN asked if DREW PEARSON was starting that. QUINN replied no, but "it's scuttle-bag around town at the moment. 11 CORCORAN said that it's highly doubtful and that "If you were on the other side you would wait until the BYRNES thing changed. It's close enough so that you'd wait. It isn't good tactics. QUINN said it'd be terrible tactics. QUINN said he heard ARSON (Phon.) was behind it. CORCORAN asked him if "the lady has been transported across the state line yet?"
