9:35am
MR. CURRIE's secretary to MISS OSBORNE stating that CORCORAN
wanted to see MR. CURRIE and MR. SERVICE (JOHN SERVICE of the
JAFFE case) sometime Friday morning. She wondered if the
appointment was still in effect. OSBORNE will have MRS. BEHAN
contact CURRIE's office at NAtional 1414.
11:58am Woman from THOS. COOK & SON to MAC WRIGHT (CHARLES MAC PHEE WRIGHT)
asking about O'KEEFE. He said that everything went through all
right and O'KEEFE is leaving (for Europe) tomorrow morning.
12:20pm MR. PAGE, from MR. PANUCH'S (J. ANTHONY PANUCH, office of War
Mobilization and Reconversion) office, requested CORCORAN'S
secretary to call him at REpublic 7500, Ext. 5131.
12:52pm MRS. ANNETTA BEHAN unable to reach MR. CURRIE at the White House.
12:53pm MRS. BEHAN to MR. PAGE at RE 7500, Ext. 5131. PAGE said he
wanted to let CORCORAN know that General HOPKINS (BRIG. GENERAL
F. M. HOPKINS, AAF ?) had succeeded in getting an appointment
for his son and that CORCORAN wouldn't need to work on it.
1:50pm
WORTH CLARK (Former United States Senator D. WORTH CLARK) to
MRS. BEHAN asking about CORCORAN because he has not seen him.
ANNETTA said CORCORAN left at 8:20 A.M. today on a plane and
was going direct to his brother DAVE's apartment which number is
Orchard 4-1272 (New York City) and then they were "going to
make the rounds. If ANNETTA said also that CORCORAN might be
reached c/o FRANK WOODS' office where he always checks in. WOODS'
number is Whitehall 3-0212. DAVE's office is in Newark. CLARK
is at the Plaza or he may be at the Waldorf. CORCORAN is coming
back tomorrow.
3:10pm
ANNETTA to MISS KIRKPATRICK in WORTH CLARK'S office telling her
that KENNETH SELF of Twin Falls, Idaho, is here to see CLARK
who is out but will be back tomorrow. SELF will be back July
15, 1945. He is the plane owner from Idaho who flew CLARK around
during the last campaign.
3:58pm
MR. SONNENBERG (Phon.) for CORCORAN who is out and may be reached
at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. SONNENBERG will try to
reach him there.
4:31pm
AMBASSADOR PAULEY to CORCORAN, who is out. The Ambassador can
be reached at the State Department, Ext. 663. ANNETTA says
CORCORAN will call him tomorrow.
