CO SUMMARY
September 18, 1945
5:00 PM
TOM CORCORAN in New York City to MISS DE FALCO. He said that he would
be at Columbus 5-5261 tomorrow, McCARTHY's apartment. DE FALCO said
that BERGER called; that ROBERT PATTERSON was made Secretary of War,
and Senator BURTON of Ohio was nominated to the Supreme Court; that
BILL YEAGER at PLaza 3-6251, New York City, was trying to get in touch
with CORCORAN; that GENERAL GREGORY returned his call; HOPPE (phonetic),
New York City, WHitehall 3-5640 was trying to reach him.
CORCORAN talked to MAC WRIGHT and MAC is going to Las Vegas at 1:00 P.M.
tomorrow and will get back on Saturday evening. CORCORAN told him to
call him in New York on Thursday and Friday in Washington. CORCORAN
then talked to BILL YOUNGMAN who said that he had not been able to
get in touch with LEO (CROWLEY ?), but doesn't think LEO acted today.
BILL YOUNGMAN said that C. S. LIU was in today and that LIU and T. A.
SIN had employed FRANK ADLER (phonetic) for some "monkeyshines" in
China--that CAP KRUG (W.P.B.) would run it for them. CORCORAN said
that KRUG is the most incompetent operator in the world.
