- 2 - s TRUNIT "NATIONAL ARCHIVES RECORDS SERVICE" That's the key question of this campaign - whether we are going to keep things running smoothly under a Democratic administration, or whether we are going to let the country slide backward. I've known a lot of good Republicans in my life, but the Republican leaders of the 80th Congress have not been listening to them. They have been paying attention to what lobbies say - not what the people say. That Congress gave the powerful lobbies everything they wanted - and tried to bamboozle the people. The Republican leaders believe that if they take care of the wealthy, all the rest of us can shift for ourselves.
