In Nineteen thirty-two only two and one-half million workers
were members of unions. Today over sixteen million are
TRUMAS
organized.
ARCHIVES "NATIONAL SERVICE" RECORDS AND
ENTER
Under Democratic administrations and with Democratic
majorities in Congress, the American worker has marched forward
towards a better, richer life.
But in the last two years, since the Republicans
took over the Congress, labor has lost many of its gains.
You people will determine on election day what kind of
government you will have for the next four years.
In November nineteen forty-six two-thirds of you stayed
away from the polls and as a result you got this labor-hating,
labor-baiting Republican 80th Congress.
