10/8/48 TRUMAN ROCHESTER, NEW YORK ARCHIVES B. "NATIONAL SERVICE" RECORDS AND LEVELLE epe I am very glad to be with you this afternoon at Rochester. I appreciate very much your having come sucha had out on so poor a day to see your President and to learn the truth about the issues in this campaign. I wish I could stay here and discuss all of them but I know that is not possible in weather like this. I have been traveling all over the country, telling people the truth about this coming election. A lot of people are trying to pretend that there aren't any issues in this campaign. Nothing could be further from the truth. The men who pretend there aren't any issues are just trying to hide the truth. for Congree
