1. Weather:
Generally clear throughout the period with broken to scat-
tered high clouds. Visibility 4 to 6 miles in haze along battle line.
Temperatures 30 to 65 degrees F. Forecast: Clear becoming over-
cast high and broken middle clouds in North Korea. Visibility 4 to 6
miles in haze. Temperatures 30 to 62 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Enemy forces of battalion and regimental size counterat-
tacked late in the period and forced friendly withdrawals up to 6 miles
in the 6th ROK Division sector of the IX Corps. Other friendly units in
the I and IX Corps front withdrew approximately 3 miles, and enemy
patrol groups reportedly crossed the Imjin River at 3 points on the UN
left flank. Enemy activity on the right flank remained light. (FECOM)

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
a. General: Eighth Army units made limited gains early
in the period, then were forced to withdraw up to 6 miles in the face of
strong enemy counterattacks in the central and west central sectors of
the UN front. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. I US Corps: Late in the period, 1st ROK Division patrols
were forced to withdraw from north of the Imjin River in the face of
enemy crossings of the river at three points northwest of Uijongbu. In
