Weather: Broken high clouds with occasional patches of broken low clouds. Visibility varied from six to ten miles. Temperatures 53 to 74 degrees F. Forecast: Broken high and middle coulds over northwest Korea, otherwise clear. Visibility six to eight miles lowering to one mile in smoke over bombline. Temperatures 55 to 75 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Hostile resistance became noticeably more stubborn during the period, especially against ROK units on the right flank. In that sector, two enemy regiments and one company attacked in bitter hand-to-hand fighting. One small enemy penetration of friendly lines was reported near Nodong, and enemy activity increased against friendly patrols in other sectors. Hostile preparatory activities continued: 2006 vehicles were observed, 1538 moving south; growing number and size of forward supply dumps; fords and underwater as well as ponton bridges in approach zones; friendly air observed road widened for possible use of aircraft twelve and one half miles east southeast of Chinnampo.
