Weather: Broken to overcast low, middle, and high clouds. Ceilings 1500 to 5000 feet. Visibility seven miles, lowering to one mile in rain. Temperatures 52 to 68 degrees F. Forecast: Broken middle and high clouds with scattered low clouds. Visibility 3 to 5 miles. Temperatures 50 to 67 degrees F. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Hostile pressure decreased in intensity during the period, but remained constant against III ROK Corps units in the east sector. Enemy probing attacks were made against UN lines east and west of the Pupyong- Hongchon highway, in the X US Corps sector. Some 10,000 enemy troops were reported concentrating in the area aroung Hangye. Enemy resistance was light to moderate in the west sectors. (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: GROUND: Ir General: Attacking forces in the west re-entered Munsan and Uijongbu and made steady gains along the Hongchon River and up the Pukhan River valley in the IX US Corps zone. UN troops repulsed enemy attacks in the east-central and east sectors and improved positions. ROK units established new lines running from Hajinbu to Kangnung.
