Weather: Broken to overcast low and broken middle clouds on the east coast, scattered to broken low and scattered middle clouds north of 37 degrees in west and central sectors. Visibility 8 to 10 miles lowering to 1 to 3 miles in scattered rain showers. Temperatures 60 to 70 degrees F. Forecast: Broken low and middle clouds, with 3 to 8 miles visibility along east coast. Overcast low and middle clouds with 6 to 8 miles visibility in central and western sectors. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Hostile resistance continued stubborn in the area east of the Hwachon Reservoir opposite X US Corps units, but was considerably less in the Chorwon - Kumhwa sector. The enemy launched 4 unsuccessful counter- attacks, 2 south of Kumhwa and 2 east of the reservoir. Enemy groups were observed moving north at several points across the front. (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: GROUND: a. General: Friendly units entered Chorwon and Kumhwa against light to no resistance, and a task force probed beyond Chorwon.
