1. Weather:
Broken to overcast low clouds, with scattered to broken high
clouds. Thunderstorms in all sectors. Visibility 3 to 5 miles in
rain, Forecast: Multilayers broken to overcast. Visibility 3 to 5
miles. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile groups continued to probe friendly positions across
the front and offered light to moderate resistance to UN patrols.
Moderate mortar and artillery fire fell on X Corps positions.

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND
2 General: Attacking elements, after an advance of
nearly 3 miles, secured a high-ground objective in the area north-
east of Yanggu. Other UN forces patrolled along the front, and
advanced up to 3 miles without resistance west of Chorwon. 1st US
Cavalry Division units assumed positions on the line near Yonchon,
in the I Corps sector. (FECOM) (SECRET)
