1. Weather:
Broken to overcast high and middle clouds with scattered to broken
low clouds. Visibility good. Forecast: Overcast high and middle clouds
with broken low clouds. Visibility good. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Hostile groups up to battalion-strength stubbornly resisted UN at-
tacks along the front from the Kumhwa area east to the coast and hurled
numerous counteratiacks at friendly positions. Determined company-
strength groups opposed UN patrols in the western sector. Air observed
3,580 enemy vehicles, of which 2, 221 were south-bound (FECOM)

3. United Nations Situation:
GROUND:
a. General: Friendly forces launched limited objective
attacks in the central and east-central sectors and made gains up to
four miles during the period. Numerous enemy counterattacks were
repulsed, and UN troops were continuing to attack as the period closed.
Friendly patrols engaged in several sharp skirmishes with the enemy
in the western sector. (FECOM) (SECRET)
