I US Corps: Units of the 1st ROK, 1st British Commonwealth,\n1st US Cavalry, and 9th ROK Divisions patrolled against squad- to company-\nsize groups in their sectors west and north of the Imjin River. Elements of\nthe 1st US Cavalry Division repulsed a probing attack by an undetermined\nnumber of enemy ten miles northwest of Yonchon. A total of 1, 279 rounds of\nhostile mortar and artillery fire fell on Cavalry Division positions. (FECOM)\n(SECRET)\nc. IX US Corps: Elements of the 25th US Infantry Division, with\nthe Turkish Brigade attached, and the 2d ROK Division encountered groups of\nplatoon and undetermined size in patrol clashes northwest and northeast of\nKumhwa. One squad-size enemy probing attack was repulsed by 25th Division\nunits four miles northeast of Kumhwa. Division artillery fired on several\nenemy groups in the area. Forward elements of the 24th US Infantry Division,\nwith the Colombian Battalion attached, continued to attack against groups of\nplatoon and undetermined size south of Kumsong, made gains up to 1,000\nyards, then returned to previous positions. Two tank patrols advanced to the\nvicinity of Kumsong, dispersed enemy groups of platoon to company strength,\nand destroyed four tons of supplies and 105 bunkers. Patrols returned at\n231315 (KT). Units of the Division continued to attack at 240730(KT). On the\nCorps right flank, units of the 6th ROK Division continued to attack and made\nslight gains against resistance from groups of company and undetermined size\nin the area southeast of Kumsong. One probing attack by a group of undetermined\nsize was repulsed six miles southeast of Kumsong. Other units of the Divi-\nsion patrolled against small hostile groups. The Division continued to attack\nat 240640(KT), (FECOM) (SECRET)\nd. X US Corps: Units of the 8th ROK and 7th US Infantry Divisions\npatrolled against numerous squad- to company-size groups east of the Pukhan\nRiver and on both sides of the Yanggu-Marhwi road. Three enemy probing at-\ntacks by groups of platoon and undetermined strength were repulsed in this\narea. Farther east, units of the 3d ROK and 1st US Marine Divisions continued\nto probe northward against resistance from groups of company and undetermined\nsize in the area northwest and north of Sohwa. Forward units of the Marine\nDivision repulsed two probing attacks by a squad and a group of undetermined\nstrength. (FECOM) (SECRET)\ne. I ROK Corps: Units of the 11th ROK Division engaged a hostile\nsquad in a patrol clash near Komisong.
