Two tank patrols advanced to the vicinity of Kumsong, dispersed enemy groups of platoon to company strength, and destroyed four tons of supplies and 105 bunkers. Patrols returned at 231315 (KT). Units of the Division continued to attack at 240730(KT). On the Corps right flank, units of the 6th ROK Division continued to attack and made slight gains against resistance from groups of company and undetermined size in the area southeast of Kumsong. One probing attack by a group of undetermined size was repulsed six miles southeast of Kumsong. Other units of the Divi- sion patrolled against small hostile groups. X US Corps: Units of the 8th ROK and 7th US Infantry Divisions patrolled against numerous squad- to company-size groups east of the Pukhan River and on both sides of the Yanggu-Marhwi road. Three enemy probing at- tacks by groups of platoon and undetermined strength were repulsed in this area. Farther east, units of the 3d ROK and 1st US Marine Divisions continued to probe northward against resistance from groups of company and undetermined size in the area northwest and north of Sohwa. Forward units of the Marine Division repulsed two probing attacks by a squad and a group of undetermined strength. (FECOM) (SECRET) e. I ROK Corps: Units of the 11th ROK Division engaged a hostile squad in a patrol clash near Komisong.
