Weather: Scattered low and middle clouds becoming clear by midnight, remain- ing generally clear for the period. Visibility unrestricted. Maximum bat- tle line temperature 35 degrees, minimum 13. Forecast: Scattered cloudi- ness and unrestricted visibility for entire period. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Activity continued light across the front, limited to minor probing at- tacks southwest and east of Kumsong, and scattered patrol clashes. A com- pany-strength probing attack forced a 6th ROK Division outpost to withdraw from a position near the east bank of the Pukhan River. Moderate artillery and mortar fire continued to fall on 3d US Infantry Division positions north- west of Yonchon, and twenty-four rounds of rocket fire fell in this sector. The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 26-27 November is 3,062, of which 2, 599 were southbound. (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: ARMY: a. General: UN forces repulsed scattered enemy probing attacks across the front and continued to engage squad- to company-size groups in patrol clashes. Tank patrols continued to probe the area northwest of Kum- hwa in the central sector, and east of the Yanggu. road in the east-central sector.
