Forecast: Scattered low and middle clouds with broken clouds north of the battle area, becoming clear toward the end of the period. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: The enemy continued sporadic probing attacks against forward UN positions, Groups of up to company size were observed in all sectors; some engaged UN patrols in scattered clashes, Enemy artillery was moderately active in the west and west-central sectors. The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for the period 29-30 November through 1.2 De- cember is 17, 701, of which 11, 645 were southbound, Sightings for 29-30 November established a new record high for a 24-hour period, with a total of 7g 908, 3g 553 of which were southbound, (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: ARMY a General: UN Forces maintained positions and patrolled, reporting light scattered contact with enemy groups of squad- to company- size throughout the period. Enemy probing attacks, the largest of which was company-size were repulsed, with minor adjustment of friendly posi- tions in two instances. A number of enemy groups in forward areas were taken under friendly artillery fire during the period.
