1. Weather:
Northwest and central-west Korea were clear, however the east
coast was overcast at 800 feet with restricted visibility. Maximum battle
area temperature 40 degrees; minimum 25. Forecast: Same conditions
will prevail until 1200, when rapid clearing is expected. (FEAF) (SECRET)
2. Enemy Situation:
Numerous probing attacks continued to characterize enemy activity
along the front throughout the period. Enemy groups of up to 100 men
in size fired on friendly positions. In the east-central sector, a company-
strength probing attack was launched, and enemy forces which attacked
yesterday remained in contact. Light mortar and artillery fire fell on
one division on the western front, and moderate fire on one division on
the least-central and eastern fronts. The adjusted total of vehicle sightings
for 11-12 February is 56, of which 47 were southbound. (FECOM) (SECRET)
3. United Nations Situation:
ARMY:
a. General: UN forces repulsed scattered light probing attacks
on the west and west-central fronts. In the least-central sector, the action
against energy forces which was reported yesterday continues, and new
attacks were repulsed. (FECOM) (SECRET)
