Weather: Multilayer clouds with ceilings frequently below 1,000 feet. Visi- bility reduced to 1/2 to 3 miles in snow and rain. Maximum battle area temperature 32 degrees, minimum 25 degrees. Forecast: Overcast, middle and broken low clouds clearing later in the period. Maximum tem- perature 33 degrees, minimum 20 degrees. (FEAF) (SECRET) 2. Enemy Situation: Squad- to platoon-strength enemy groups intercepted UN patrols across the front. Only three light probing actions were reported. Light mortar and artillery fire was directed against two UN division sectors on the eastern front. The adjusted total of vehicle sightings for 24-25 February is 3, 520, of which 2, 521 were southbound (FECOM) (SECRET) 3. United Nations Situation: ARMY: a. General: Scattered light patrol skirmishes characterized the action along the UN front. Two light probing attacks were repulsed in the central sector, and one in the east-central sector. Elsewhere along the front, only infrequent patrol contacts were reported. The 7th US Divi- sion (minus) was attached to the IX US Corps effective 251510.
