(HK) Ltd., is the parent firm for China Trading & Industrial Development Corp., New York, London, Karachi and Calcutta. A WTDR on the parent firm states that it does not export, but acts as importer, wholesaler, and commission mer- chant of metals, gunny bags, chemicale, pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs, cotton piece goods and raw cotton. Four Hong Kong banks were consulted by the Consulate General in Hong Kong in preparation of the WTDR. All of the banks regarded China Trading & Industrial Development as commercially sound and reputable. Confidential D-1378, from Hong Kong of March 20, 1951 is a summary of information concerning the subject firm. There are nine shareholders in the company.
