SOUTH nornalk,
COMMECTICUT
You see, the Wagner Act was the Magna Charta of labor, and the first
thing the Repu licans did when they went into office was to try to tear that
thing up., They did it over my voto, too. They tried to do a" lot of other
things which I wouldnut lot them do. You know, I votood more bills in that
timo than any other President in the hisatory of tho Unitod States. And I
am proud. of that record. : That is the roason I can go out and face you people
and toll the truth, Bocause I have boon for you all tho timo. The Ropublicans
haven't.
Now, the New England Yankoos made the Rod Coats wish thoy had nover gotton
into a scrap back in the timo of tho Rovolution. And I boliovo tho Now
England Yankoos this year are going to make tho Ropublicans rogrot that they
ovor got in this fight too. The Domocratic Party is going to wiň because we
are on tho sido of tho pooplo.
Do your duty to yoursolf, now, and support me in this thing. Go to tho
polls on Election Day and voto for yoursolves, voto inyour own intorosts.
You don't have to think about this very much -- you just have to think about
what is for tho wolfare of this country as a wholo and what is for your.
intorost. Voto against special instorosts. Do do that, all you havo to do
is voto the straight Domocratic tickot. Thon you'llhave a Domocratic
Governor. You will have a Domocratic Congrossman from this District, and
you' 11 have a Democratic President in the White Houso anothor four years --
and ho won't be bothored by a housing shortago.
