We are going to win because everyone is against us
except the people - and it is the people who have the votes.

The special interests are against us,
GOVERNMENT
the exploiters of labor, the monopolists, the lobbies,
and most of the newspapers. Those are the ones that are against us,
I repeat, the only ones that are for us are the people.
Our job as working members of the Democratic Party
is to get the voters to the polling place on election day.
I've been working at that job just as hard as I can.
I know you have, too, and I thank you for your efforts.
I've had some people say to me on my trips around
the country that we can't win. They say, look at the public
opinion polls.
