-6- Ar. Framingham, Mass. 3:35 p.m. Committee program 5 minutes - rear platform. President will be introduced by Lv. Framingham, Mass. 3:40 p.m. Ar. Boston, Mass 4:35 p.m. October 27 being Navy Day, Mayor Curley has declared that since the President is Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, this is to be official Navy Day celebration and the entire city of Boston will act as official reception committee. The party will enter cars upon arrival and be transported to the Hotel Statler arriving about 6:00. They will remain in their rooms until about 9:00 p.m. when they will re-enter their cars for trip to Mechanics Hall where the President will speak at 9:30 p.m. Congressman J. W. McCormick will introduce the President. The speech will be broadcast over CBS and also on Eastern television. Following the speech, the party will return to Hotel for the night, Thursday, October 28, 1948 At 7:00 a.m. the President, Mr. Matthew Connelly, Mr. Eben Ayers, and Gen. Graham will enter an automobile caravan with State and Congressional Candidates for a motor trip to Providence, R.I. The remainder of the party will stay in Boston and leave with the train for Providence at 9:25 a.m. There will be a breakfast at 7:45 for Mrs. Truman and Margaret to be given by the City of Boston. Neither Mrs. Truman nor Margaret will be expected to speak. All members of the party must be aboard train by 9:15. The following is the schedule of the motor trip: Lv. Boston 7:00 a.m. Ar. Quincy 7:20 a.m. The President will be introduced by Mayor Chas. Ross (Rep.) Lv. Quincy 7:25 a.m. Ar. Brockton 7:55 a.m. 10 minutes for committee program. The President will be introduced by Mayor Joseph Downey. The President will be presented with a pair of shoes for himself, Mrs. Truman, and Margaret by the Mayor. Lv. Brockton 8:05 a.m. Ar. Taunton 8:35 a.m. 5 minutes for committee program. President will be introduced by Mayor John H. Parker. Lv. Taunton 8:40 a.m. Ar. Fall River 9:20 a.m. 15 minutes for committee program President will be introduced by Mayor Wm. P. Grant. He will apeak at South Park. Lv. Fall River 9:35 a.m. Ar. Warren, R.I. (State Line) 10:00 a.m. No program. Massachusetts Delegation will leave cavalcade here. The following people will greet the President and motor with him to Providence: Senator J.
