John Blatnik, your great Congressman and one of
witha distinguished was second,
America's great war heroes, has always told me that you
folks up here were warm, friendly people. Now I see
what he meant.
Anyway, I knew you must be pretty fine folks to
send such a representative as John Blatnik to Congress.
I know you are going to send him back this year.
And I know that going right along with him, as
Senator from this great State, will be Mayor Humphrey of
Minneapolis.
I want to congratulate you on the nearly
unbelievable job you did here during World War Two.
