Dear Boyd:
I have given you in confidence my situation
here in NBC and my desire before the year is out to
make a change. I want to move cautiously but at the
same time I want to be resourceful enough to get into
something where I can do a. constructive job, and it
may surprise you to hear I don't even wish to discuss
salary if the work appeals to me.
Also it's no particular pleasure to send
one's history because it sounds too much like talking
about oneself. However, when you asked me the other
day at luncheon about my business career, I said I would
give you some data and an accordingly sending the en-
closed information.
Shelley and I suddenly decided to leave for a
much needed rest in Florida, but I am returning by
February 28th for the next NBC Board meeting. Should
you want me, however, for a conference on a future tie-
up, I can fly back in eight hours if your secretary will
but notify mine.
With best wishes.
Faithfully yours
