President Truman's 299th news conference, held in the Indian Treaty Room (Room 474) in the Executive Office Building at 10:30 a. m. on Thursday, April 10, 1952. Topics discussed include President Truman's announcement at the Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner that he would not seek another term; resolutions to the steel dispute; possible resignation of General Eisenhower as Supreme Commander of NATO; recommendations of the Wage Stabilization Board; the successor to Charles E.
