ADDRESS BY THE HONORABLE HARRY S. TRUMAN TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF GUNSTON HALL SCHOOL, WASHINGTON, D. C. JUNE 2, 1942 For Release on I feel highly honored to have been invited here today to take part in the commencement exercises (particularly so since my daughter is a member of the graduating class) and to join with the faculty, the students, the alumnae, and the many friends of this fine institution in commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of its founding. Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Randolph Mason who founded this great school certainly added something to the Capital City when they named it for the home of George Mason of Virginia. The school has lived up to the Gunston tradition.
