As Chairman of the Truman Senate Committee, it was my drive duty and privilege to prod for greater production and to check and recheck to make sure that our soldiers obtained the weapons they need to beat the enemy. The THE backing of the public helped us get results. When we found laggards; we never hesitated to force improvement. When we found obstacles, we went to work to remove them. But when we found a good,job, we said so, and the Committee unanimously, Democrats and Republioans alike, agreed that by and large a splendid job was done Hour Our soldiers and sailors are getting what they need to win this war.
