Dear Harold:
I appreciated your letter of the Nineteenth,
and I regret that I do not have a West Point appointment
at my disposal for you.
I had the same number of West Point appoint-
ments this year that I had for Annapolis. However, I
made my West Point appointments in January, and I have
no vacancies at this time.
I am very sorry that it did not work out so
that you could accept the appointment to Annapolis.
Sincerely yours,
Harry s. Truman
