COPY Washington, D. C. May 5, 1941 The American Consul General Zurich, Switzerland Dear Mr. Consul General: The Mayor of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has asked me to write you concerning the case of Mrs. Eleonore Eisemann, 60 Wost Street, Zurich, Switzerland, who has been granted a visa to immigrate to the United States. She is the mother of Fred Eisemann of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who apparently is well able to provide for her support. Mr. Eisemann has deposited the money to purchase a passage ticket to the United States for his mother, but because of war conditions passenger space seems to be almost impossible to obtain. If you office can be of any assistance to Mrs. Eisemann in getting accommodations, either on a boat or the Clipper, I am sure that it will be very highly appreciated. Sincerely yours, Harry S.
