Dear Alex:
Replying to your letter of the Fifteenth,
I have egain written to the Amerionn Consul at
Berlin and told him that you are entirely respon-
sible and able to guarantes the well-being of the
Ucko fomily when and if they are admitted to this
country. I certainly hope that this will help.
I have noticed that in a number of cases
recently where the applicants' nemes are getting
closer to the top of the list the Consuls have
asked their sponsors to supply them with more
recent information as to their financial stending
end ability to provide for the applicants. I
imagine that this is what is happening with the
Uckos, although I don't know, of course,

with you that "Hellzapoppin" is about the only way
to describe the situstion back there.
