WASHINGTON
March 16, 1964
Dear Dr. Graham:
Fortunately President Truman did very well
during the trip and funeral. He rode and did
not walk most of the time - as per your
discussion with him.
One small episode of diarrhea the day of the
funeral was controlled by entero-vioform and
diarrhea mixture (Paregoric, Kaopectate and
Bismuth combination). No other medical
problem was presented. However, upon
evaluating his immunization record, I discovered
he was overdue on his smallpox and approaching
the limits on his yellow fever. I suggested to
Mr. Mroz, the secret service agent, that these
should be evaluated.
Dr. Burkley sends his regards. We hope to
see you if and when you get to our area.
Sincerely,
Committee
