Interpretation The electrocardiogram today reveals no detectable atrial activity of a
repetitive nature: At times, P waves are seen which seem to have a rate about the
same as the ventricular rate but they are not consistent in their relationship to the
QRS complexes. This probably represents a bundle of His rhythm. Digitalis
intoxication must be suspected.
