IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JUNE 4, 1948
The President has approved appointment of four United States
delegates and an alternate delegate to the Thirty-first Session of the
International Labor Conference at San Francisco, California.
The delegates, whose names were submitted to the President by
the Secretary of State, upon recommendation of the Secretary of Labor,
will represent the Government, Employers and Workers of the United
States, as follows:
I. Representing the Government of the United States:
Delegates:
Hon. David A. Morse, Under Secretary of Labor. (Head
of Delegation)
Hon. Elbert D. Thomas, United States Senate.
Substitute Delegate and Adviser:
Thacher Winslow, Assistant to the Under Secretary,
Department of Labor.
II. Representing the Employers of the United States:
