In answer to the questions asked Mrs.Helm at her press meeting on
October 6th, the following information was given to the press women
verbally on October 16th- it was not given as a press release:
The bedrooms to be occupied by the Princess Elizabeth and the
Duke of Edinburgh are adjoining. Each one has a connecting bath.
One bedroon has an old-fashioned bed with a canopy. The bed
covering and the chairs in this room are green blue damask.
The walls are peach.
In the other bedroom the walls are pale green and there are
chintz draperies.
The small living room has Old English Print hangings, which
have always hung there.
Nothing new has been bought for any of these rooms.
The furniture throughout is Blair House mahogany furniture.
No history connected with any piece.
The color of the carpeting on the second floor is rose taupe.
