My dear Mr. Pace:
Mrs. Truman regrets that it will
not be possible for her to arrange to see
the group of North Carolina students who
will be in Washington March twenty-eighth
to thirtieth.
Since the renovation of the White
House has been delayed much longer than an-
ticipated, many of the entertainments which
would have taken place during the past win-
ter have had to be scheduled for the last
of March and April. For this ereson, Mrs.
Truman's calendar is an unusually full one
and it is not possible for her to make any
more engagements for the latter part of
March and April. She is very sorry that
this is the case, as she is always glad to
see the groups of students who come to
Washington when it is possible for her to
do SO.
